Wedding Vows - Get Personal
Far more romantic wedding vows are ones that you choose yourself and although this can take time to get right, it makes the vows much more meaningful and special at weddings. Its far better to be able to look into each others eyes and say romantic words full of love and significance for each other. Your love is personal so why shouldn’t your wedding day vows be as well?
Your Ceremony Vows - Getting Them Right
If your Officiant has agreed that you can write your own personal wedding vow then you have two options:
1. Write your vows together with your future spouse and both say the same vow to each other.
2. Write your vows separately so that they have intimate significance to the individual.
It is up to you what your vows for the wedding contain (subject to approval by your Officiant). Sometimes it can be really hard sitting there staring at a blank page wondering what to write. The best place to start is to sit down and talk to each other beforehand.
Chat about what attracted you to each other, what you love about each other and why you want to be together. This should help to spark off some really useful trains of thought to get you on your creative wedding day vow writing process. You will find lots of useful vow hints and suggestions online too.
